It is not uncommon to hear about attorneys being bad guys who only want your money. Matt Walton is an attorney with a heart. Correction, Matt Walton is an AMAZING attorney with a HUGE heart! Unfortunately, in my past life, I was not a very upstanding citizen and found myself in more than one tight spot. Matt managed to keep myself and many of my buddies out of jail even when the odds were really stacked against us. He has gone over and above the call of duty on multiple occasions giving me everything from a much-needed pep talk to wise words of advice and even prayer. It is also not uncommon to hear "It's not what you know, it's who you know." Matt has been in the business for a long time. He definitely knows "what" is needed and 9 times out of 10 he will also know "who" is needed to make things happen! Over the past 15+ years I have utilized his skills more times than I care to remember and so have many friends and family. Matt represented me with respect to a criminal matter (DUI). I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone facing such a situation. Matt is very comfortable and competent in Court. He is well spoken, familiar with and on good terms with Court staff, and, as the saying goes, 'knows his way around' in that context. He is also personable and accessible outside of Court. Matt helped me to obtain a very satisfactory result given the circumstances. He is not hesitant to challenge the prosecution and force them to their proofs. In other words, he is not looking to just take a client's fee and make a quick deal with prosecutors, as so many attorneys apparently do. I later recommended Matt to a friend who was facing a complex and unpleasant divorce. My friend was also very satisfied with Matt's services.
